The Washington County Free Library invites you to the Fletcher Film Series, where each month, we show you films based around a different theme.

March's theme is "Sláinte!" (Gaelic for "good health") Fáilte! In honor of St. Patrick's Day, come enjoy these great films about Irish life!

Note: The film series is intended for older teens and adults. Children under the age of 17 should be accompanied by an adult.

Our second film in this month's series is the 2016 coming-of-age film "Sing Street". Set in 1980s Dublin during the economic depression, 15-year-old Conor has just been moved from his private school to a tough inner-city alternative. As he struggles to adapt to his new environment and strained family life, he meets and falls for the beautiful mysterious Raphina. In order to impress her, he invites her to star in the music video for his band. There's only one problem - he doesn't have a band!

Starring: Ferdia Walsh-Peelo, Lucy Boynton, and Aiden Gillen

Run Time: 1 hour and 46 minutes

Rated PG-13 for thematic elements including strong language and some bullying behavior, a suggestive image, drug material, and teen smoking
