Program Description

Event Details

The Washington County Free Library invites you to the Fletcher Film Series, where each month, we show you films based around a different theme.

April's theme is "April Fools!" Do you love to laugh? April is National Humor Month, so come join us for some hilarious comedies!

Note: The film series is intended for older teens and adults. Children under the age of 17 should be accompanied by an adult.

Our last film in this month's series is the 2016 indie hit, "Hunt for the Wilderpeople". Ricky, a juvenile delinquent, is placed into the care of foster parents Bella and Hector, two reclusive country people. He quickly bonds with Bella, but when she dies suddenly, he runs away into the New Zealand bush rather than have Child Services return him to the orphanage. Hector goes after him, and the two of them bond out in the wilderness - all while trying to avoid the national manhunt that their disappearances have sparked.

Starring: Sam Neill, Julian Dennison, and Rachel House

Run Time: 1 hour and 41 minutes

Rated PG-13 for thematic elements including violent content, and some language
