Program Description

Event Details

The Washington County Free Library invites you to our Summer Film Series, "Memoirs On-Screen". Each week throughout the summer, we'll be showing a different film based on a popular memoir. Reading the book is encouraged, but not required!

Our final film in the series is "BlackKklansman", starring John David Washington and Adam Driver, based on the memoir by Ron Stallworth. In the early 1970s, Ron Stallworth is the first black detective to serve in the Colorado Springs Police Department. Determined to make a name for himself, he sets out on a dangerous mission - infiltrate and expose the Ku Klux Klan.

This film is rated R for language, including racial epithets, disturbing violent material, and some sexual references. Registration is not required. Water and light refreshments will be provided.
