Washington County Free Library welcomes you to the Fletcher Film Series. Each month, we bring you films based around a central theme. May is "Lokahi" (Hawaiian for "unity") in honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.

Note: The film series is intended for older teens and adults. Children under the age of 17 should be accompanied by an adult. 

No registration required. Water and light refreshments will be served.


Our first film this month is the 2018 romantic comedy "Crazy Rich Asians" Rachel Chu is happy to accompany her longtime boyfriend, Nick, to his best friend's wedding in Singapore. Once she's there, however, she surprised to learn that Nick's family is extremely wealthy and he's considered one of the country's most eligible bachelors. Thrust into the spotlight, Rachel must now contend with jealous socialites, quirky relatives and something far, far worse -- Nick's disapproving mother.

Starring: Constance Wu, Henry Golding, and Michelle Yeoh

Run Time: 2 hours

Rated PG-13 for some suggestive content and language
