Event Details

The Washington County Free Library invites you to our brand-new Fletcher Film Series! Each month's films will be based around a different theme. In honor of the new school year, September's theme is "Back To School", where we'll be showing some of your favorite high-school movies from the 80s and 90s. Come join us at the Fletcher branch for films, food, and nostalgia!

Note: The films in this series are intended for older teens and adults. Water and light refreshments will be served.

This week's film is "The Breakfast Club", the 1985 John Hughes classic. Five high-school students from different walks of life endure a Saturday detention under a power-hungry principal. The disparate group includes rebel John, princess Claire, outcast Allison, brainy Brian, and Andrew the jock. Each of them has the chance to tell his or her store, making the others see them in a different light -- and when the day ends, they question whether school will ever be the same.

Starring: Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy, Anthony Michael Hall, and Emilio Estevez

This film is rated R for language, mature content, and some drug use.

Run Time: 97 minutes
