The Washington County Free Library invites you to our brand-new Fletcher Film Series! Each month's films will be based around a different theme. In honor of the Halloween season, October's theme is "Spooky Screens", where we'll be showing some classic horror films. Stop on by the Fletcher branch for some spooky fun!

Note: The films in this series are intended for older teens and adults. Water and light refreshments will be served.

This week's film is the 1979 sci-fi horror classic "Alien". In deep space, the crew of the commercial starship Nostromo is awakened from cryo-sleep halfway through their journey home to investigate an alien distress call from an unknown planet. When a member of the rescue team is attacked by a mysterious organism, the crew soon finds themselves pitted against a malevolent, relentless killing machine.

Starring: Sigourney Weaver, Tom Skerritt, Ian Holm, and John Hurt.

Rated R for sci-fi violence/gore and language
