Program Description

Event Details

The Washington County Free Library invites you to the Fletcher Film Series, where each month's films are based around a different theme. December's theme is "Tis The Season". Love the holiday season, but tired of "It's A Wonderful Life"? Join us for something different as we share our selection of alternative "Christmas" films!

Note: The film series is intended for older teens and adults. Children under the age of 17 should be accompanied by an adult.

This week's film is the 1988 action classic "Die Hard". New York City policeman John McClane flies to Los Angeles to visit his estranged wife on Christmas Eve. He joins her at an office holiday party at her employer's headquarters in the Nakatomi Plaza. But the festivities are interrupted by a group of German terrorists who take over the tower and everyone in it. Very soon, McClane realizes there's no one who can save the hostages - but him.

Starring: Bruce Willis, Alan Rickman, Bonnie Bedelia, and Reginald VelJohnson

Rated R for intense violence, strong language, some drug/alcohol use, and frightening scenes

Run Time: 2 hours and 12 minutes
