Washington County Free Library welcomes you to the Fletcher Film Series. Each month, we bring you films based around a central theme. October's fare is "Trick or Treat" with horror movies to start off the spooky season.

Note: The film series is intended for older teens and adults. Children under the age of 17 should be accompanied by an adult. 

No registration required. Water and light refreshments will be served.

Our first film this month is the Swedish vampire film "Let the Right One In", adapted from the novel by John Ajvide Lindqvist. In the suburb of Blackeberg in Stockholm, twelve-year-old Oskar is a bullied and lonely outsider. He befriends his next-door neighbor Eli - but Eli is not like other children. She can't stand sunlight or food, and to come into a room, she needs to be invited. When a string of bloody murders in the neighborhood connects back to Eli, Oskar finds himself forced to make a choice about his newfound friend. 

Note: This film is in Swedish with English subtitles.

Starring: Kare Hedebrant and Lina Leandersson

Rated R for some bloody violence including disturbing images, brief nudity, and language
