Washington County Free Library welcomes you to the Fletcher Film Series. Each month, we bring you films based around a central theme. February is "The Hill We Climb", in honor of Black History Month.

Note: The film series is intended for older teens and adults. Children under the age of 17 should be accompanied by an adult.

No registration required. Water and light refreshments will be served.

Our second film this month is the 2016 biopic "Hidden Figures". Based on real events, it follows Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughn and Mary Jackson - three brilliant black women mathematicians who fought against racism and sexism to serve as the brains behind one of the country's greatest achievements: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit.

Starring: Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Butler, and Janelle Monae

Run Time: 2 hours and 7 minutes

Rated PG for thematic elements and some language
