Washington County Free Library welcomes you to the Fletcher Film Series. Each month, we bring you films based around a central theme. This July, take a break from the summer heat and explore the future with our "Summer Sci-Fi" films.

Note: The film series is intended for older teens and adults. Children under the age of 17 should be accompanied by an adult. 

No registration required. Water and popcorn will be served.

Our second film this month is the 2014 MCU action comedy "Guardians of the Galaxy". Brash space adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the quarry of relentless bounty hunters after he steals an orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain. To evade Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with four disparate misfits: gun-toting Rocket Raccoon, treelike-humanoid Groot, enigmatic Gamora, and vengeance-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when he discovers the orb's true power and the cosmic threat it poses, Quill must rally his ragtag group to save the universe.

Starring: Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, and Dave Bautista

Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi action and violence, and for some language
