Washington County Free Library welcomes you to the Fletcher Film Series. Each month, we bring you films based around a central theme. April is National Poetry Month, so experience "Poetry in Motion" with this selection of great films.

Note: The film series is intended for older teens and adults. Children under the age of 17 should be accompanied by an adult. 

No registration required. Water and popcorn will be served.

Our last film this month is the visionary 2021 film "The Green Knight", based off the 14th century poem. Sir Gawain, King Arthur's reckless and headstrong nephew, embarks on a daring quest to confront the eponymous Green Knight, a gigantic emerald-skinned stranger and tester of men. Gawain contends with ghosts, giants, thieves, and schemers in what becomes a deeper journey to define his character and prove his worth in the eyes of his family and kingdom by facing the ultimate challenger.

Starring: Dev Patel, Alicia Vikander, and Joel Edgerton

Run Time: 2 hours and 10 minutes

Rated R for violence, some sexuality, and graphic nudity
