Celebrate something with Swaneet! We’ll celebrate obscure holidays and author birthdays with snacks, games, and crafts.  

Enjoy some refreshments at the library after Smithsburg's tree-lighting ceremony in Veterans Park.  Tour our building, stop at the craft stations, check out the used book sale and Santa should be here.

Stop by the Children's Department on Saturdays December 6, 13, and 20 for make and take Christmas and Hanukkah crafts.  Each week will feature different projects.  Crafting supplies will be available during regular library hours.  R

Join Miss Alyssa for a fun Themed Family Storytime with stories and songs.

Join us for Kids Discover/Little Explorers STEM Clay Snowman Creations on Saturday December 6th from 11am-12pm in the Storytime Room Fletcher Branch for ages 3-10. Build and design your own snowman using clay and a variety of items to decorate.

Join us in the children's room for books, songs, flannelgraph stories and more.  This story time is for all ages.  No registration required.

Meet Gimli, a lovable cat who is waiting to read with you.  Gimli doesn't worry about how well you read, just that you are there with him, share a story, and that you are gentle!  Gimli will visit the Children's Department from 1:00-2:00

Come join us on the 1st Saturday of the month for popcorn and a movie at 2 p.m. in the Community Room located on the 3rd floor of the WCFL Hagerstown Branch! December's movie is "Lilo and Stitch" (2025). Rated PG.

Echoes of Tomorrow, a non-profit run by teens, will be here in the main lobby by the circulation desk the first Sunday of every month from 1:30-3:00 giving out FREE bundled hygiene products, diapers, toilet paper, snacks, art supplies and more!
