*You will need to attend all classes in order to get the most out of this program*

Individuals and families struggling to get by often find themselves in situations where they need to rely on programs and resources to help them in times of struggle. While safety net services are helpful in those times, financial stability is more than just "getting by". This six-week program is designed to assist participants to build resources and personal networks that will help them better plan for life's unexpected twists and turns.

We will discuss:

* The Eleven Resources and Our Circle of Needs (adapted from Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs)

* Building Personal Social Capital

* Understanding the Hidden Rules of Social Class (adapted from Ruby Payne's "A Framework of Poverty")

* The Importance of Effective Language/Communication Skills

* Emotional Resources and Motivation/Persistence

* Physical and Mental Resources

* Relationship/Role Models

* Integrity and Trust

* Planning Your Future: How to Create Your Own SMART Plan for Success
