Washington County Free Library welcomes you to the return of the Fletcher Film Series. Each month, we bring you films based around a central theme. December is "Once Upon a Time", where life is a fairy tale, and everyone (usually) lives happily ever after.

Note: The film series is intended for older teens and adults. Children under the age of 17 should be accompanied by an adult.

We start the month off with the 1987 cult favorite, "The Princess Bride". When the lovely Buttercup is kidnapped by a three brigands intent on creating an international incident, they find themselves pursued by the Dread Pirate Roberts-- who just might be Westley, her one true love, in disguise. Sword fights, monsters, and tortures ensue - but will Grandpa be allowed to finish a story with so many kissy bits?

Starring: Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, and Mandy Patinkin

Rated PG for some violence, mild language, and intense scenes
