Event Details

The Washington County Free Library invites you to the Fletcher Film Series, where each month's films are based around a different theme. December's theme is "Tis The Season". Love the holiday season, but tired of "It's A Wonderful Life"? Join us for something different as we share our selection of alternative "Christmas" films!

Note: The film series is intended for older teens and adults. Children under the age of 17 should be accompanied by an adult.

This week's film is the 1984 creature feature "Gremlins". A gadget salesman is looking for a special Christmas gift for his son, and finds it in a Chinatown shop in the form of a small adorable "mogwai". The storekeeper reluctantly sells him the "mogwai", under condition that he follows three rules: 1) Don't ever get him wet; 2) Keep him away from bright light; and 3) Never, ever, ever feed him after midnight...

Starring: Zach Galligan, Phoebe Cates, Cory Feldman, and Hoyt Axton

Rated PG for some violence involving creatures and frightening scenes

Run Time: 1 hour and 46 minutes
