Dear Summer Reading Friend,

There are thousands of animals that spend at least part of their lives in and around trees. In Maryland, even the state animal lives in a tree! Tree-living animals from all over the world have come to visit the Hancock "Branch" Library.....

Create an adorable baby turtle with mini popsicle sticks and yarn! This craft requires some weaving, so is recommended for ages 5 and up. One kit per registration. If you need more than one kit, please register each person separately. 

Learn about the layers of the earth and build a 2D model.  While supplies last.

Pick up a bamboo stick and supplies to create a cool walking stick.  While supplies last.  The library is all out of bamboo but we do have an adventure necklace you can make.

Week of August 12th, all week, stop by our Makerspace to learn the difference between reptiles like snakes and lizards and amphibians, like frogs and salamanders.
