Victory Gardens: Food in Hard Times

Denny Warrenfeltz of Rooster Vane Gardens has a broad background in historically accurate plants, plantings, and floral arrangements, particularly of the Revolutionary War era. He has expanded his expertise to include victory gardens during the two World Wars. Master Gardener Marie Bickle will assist with the presentation and will provide a wide assortment of artifacts and memorabilia related to victory gardens for attendees to enjoy, so come early to peruse them. Attendees will be able to grab some seeds before they leave to start their own victory gardens. Light, historically accurate snacks will be available as well.
