Event Details
DNA can offer important clues in solving genealogical mysteries, but only if you understand how to use the site you tested on.
In this series, local professional genealogist, Susan VH Fabian, will help you navigate each of the four main DNA testing sites: Ancestry DNA, FamilyTree DNA, MyHeritage DNA, and 23 and Me. Each month a different testing platform will be explored and you will learn how to access your matches, and be introduced to the tools available to get the most our of your DNA results. Attend the session for the site you tested at or come to all four and explore the possibilities the other sites have to offer.
FamilyTree DNA offers features that other sites don't have with tests for finding cousins and direct paternal and maternal lines. In this session learn about the different tests available, how to view your matches, learn about your origins, and try out the chromosome browser and painter tools. Please sign up online or call.
