Program Description

Event Details

The Fitzhughs of Maryland and Upstate New York - three generations of patriots, people who founded cities, and who effected great social change in America - who lived in Chewsville at the Hive and then near Rochester NY.  The daughters married abolitionists and also were active in the Woman's Suffrage movement.  This program is presented by Jefferson Boyer, President of the Smithsburg Historical Society.  Light refreshments will be served.  Please register online for this event.
