Join us for a special Pre-School Storytime featuring the book We’re Going on a Gingerbread Hunt, a craft, and an interactive gingerbread hunt. 

Celebrate something with Swaneet! We’ll celebrate obscure holidays and author birthdays with snacks, games, and crafts.  

Enjoy some refreshments at the library after Smithsburg's tree-lighting ceremony in Veterans Park.  Tour our building, stop at the craft stations, check out the used book sale and Santa should be here.

Stop by the Children's Department on Saturdays December 6, 13, and 20 for make and take Christmas and Hanukkah crafts.  Each week will feature different projects.  Crafting supplies will be available during regular library hours.  R

Join us for Kids Discover/Little Explorers STEM Clay Snowman Creations on Saturday December 6th from 11am-12pm in the Storytime Room Fletcher Branch for ages 3-10. Build and design your own snowman using clay and a variety of items to decorate.

Join us for a discussion and activities relating to The Night Before Christmas by Clement Moore. 

Chill out with your favorite holiday movies! Teens choose the movie. Enjoy some snacks, hot chocolate, and festive fun at our Holiday Movie Hang!

Join us for a special visit with Santa from 6-7:30pm on Thursday evening December 11th. All ages welcome, and no registration required. Hope to see you there!

Come warm up with a hot cup of apple cider! Learn about the process of making apple cider and what it's like running an Orchard! Samples will be provided.

Join us for a restorative yoga practice to celebrate the Winter Solstice. This class is designed for all levels, making it perfect for beginners as well.
