In honor of Youth Art Month, the Children’s Department will be sponsoring a Design a Bookmark Contest for children ages 5-12. Official entry blanks and rules will be available at all branches, and here on the calendar as an attachment. Winning bookmarks will be printed and available in April at all library branches, as well as over the summer during our Summer Reading Club. Join us for March Homeschool Enrichment: Service Dog Education with Thinline Service Dogs. We will learn the roles and responsbilities of service dogs, how to interact with a service animal in public, and the importance of these animals in our society. Monday, March 25 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fletcher Branch (Hagerstown) Community Room on the 3rd floor. This program is for homeschool students grades 1 through 8. As there will be a live dog at this class, it is not advised for those with allergies to dogs.
