Program Description

Event Details

Come to our new film discussion program! We'll be discussing a different film each month, how they got made, and what makes them historically or culturally significant. Let's talk films!

Our film this month will be the 2008 film "The Dark Knight", directed by Christopher Nolan. We will discuss the film's impact as both a comic book movie and a social commentary, its place within Batman cinema history, and how it broke new ground as the first "superhero" movie to receive an Oscar.

The film is availabe for checkout with your Washington County Free Library card. Attendees will be asked to view the film ahead of time, but a brief synopsis of the film will be provided if you are unable to do so.
