Program Description

Event Details

Dreamcatchers are believed to have originated with the Ojibwe. Native American mothers would hang them over the beds of their children to catch bad dreams, and to allow good dreams to flow through. Pick up a kit at the Hancock Library to create your own dreamcatcher, or we can send it to your home branch. Please note which branch to send it to when you register. Kits contain all materials and instructions to make one dreamcatcher. This craft is suitable for ages 2 and up. Children under 4 will need adult supervision and assistance.
