Ora Hays, owner of Hays Apiary will discuss the history of the honey bee, and explain his operation which he has operated since 1967 supplying bees for truck crops in Maryland, Delaware, Eastern Shore and also operating in Virginia, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.  Ora's bees are currently in California for the winter.  Locally his hives pollinate many of the fruit in the Smithsburg area.  Call to reserve your seat.
