Event Details
Washington County Free Library welcomes you to the return of the Fletcher Film Series. Each month, we bring you films based around a central theme. November is "Noir-vember", where we slip into the shadowy world of film noir.
Note: The film series is intended for older teens and adults. Children under the age of 17 should be accompanied by an adult.
We start off the month with the 1944 classic, "Double Indemnity". When smooth-talking insurance salesman Walter Neff meets attractive housewife Phyllis Dietrichson, they are immediately drawn to each other. However, their torrid affair soon turns sinister when they scheme to kill her husband for the insurance money. Their plan seems fool-proof, but not everything goes according to plan...
Starring: Fred MacMurray, Barbara Stanwyck, and Edward G. Robinson
Run Time: 1 hour and 47 minutes
The film is unrated, but there are suggestions of adultery and violence.
