Join us as lecturer and concert artist, Dr. Candice Mowbray, leads audiences through an appreciative look at the history of the classical guitar, sharing stories of its great players, composers and music.  Enjoy discussion, live demonstration, and historic and modern recordings in a presentation that is sure to engage new listeners as well as current fans of the genre. 

Appearing as a soloist, chamber musician and guest lecturer, Candice Mowbray has been a featured artist for festivals and concerts series in Philadelphia, Toronto, Washington DC, Baltimore and Los Angeles. She earned the Doctorate of Musical Arts in classical guitar performance from Shenandoah Conservatory, and has taught for several colleges in the Mid-Atlantic region including Shenandoah Conservatory and Hagerstown Community College. Her recent CD, Reverie, has been featured on BBC Radio 3 and in Classical Guitar Magazine, and her writings have been published in magazines such as Soundboard and Prodigies.
