Program Description

Event Details

Come to our new film discussion program! We'll be discussing a different film each month, how they got made, and what makes them historically or culturally significant. Let's talk films!

Our first film to kick things off will be the 1922 silent film "Nosferatu", directed by F.W. Murnau. We'll be talking about the film's place in movie history, its battle with Bram Stoker's estate that almost led to its destruction, and (with a remake currently in theaters) how its themes have endured.

The film is currently available for viewing on Kanopy, available with your library card. Attendees will be asked to view the film ahead of time, but a brief synopsis of the film will be provided if you are unable to do so.
