Program Description
Event Details
Decorate a pumpkin for our 5th Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest!
- Pumpkins must be picked up from and returned to the Hancock Veterans Memorial Branch Library in Hancock.
- Completed pumpkins must be returned to the library no later than October 24, but the sooner you return it, the more votes you can get!
- DO NOT register unless you plan to participate. If you choose later not to participate, we ask that you return your undecorated pumpkin so someone else can use it.
- Winners will be chosen by popular vote from our library patrons.
- There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies in age groups 5-11, 12-17, and 18 to adult.
- Patrons can submit ONE VOTE per category per day.
- Each participant will be provided with a 5" foam pumpkin to decorate in any way they want (must be "family friendly.")
- The decorated pumpkin "sculpture" can be as tall as you want, but no more than 7" wide.
- The decorated pumpkin must be the work of the registered participant. MINIMAL help is allowed for our participants under age 8.
- Winners will be announced on October 31.
