Dear Summer Reading Friend,

There are thousands of animals that spend at least part of their lives in and around trees. In Maryland, even the state animal lives in a tree! Tree-living animals from all over the world have come to visit the Hancock "Branch" Library.....

Create an adorable baby turtle with mini popsicle sticks and yarn! This craft requires some weaving, so is recommended for ages 5 and up. One kit per registration. If you need more than one kit, please register each person separately. 

Learn about the layers of the earth and build a 2D model.  While supplies last.

Pick up a bamboo stick and supplies to create a cool walking stick.  While supplies last.  The library is all out of bamboo but we do have an adventure necklace you can make.

Try nature experiments, explore a sensory box and create a critter out of a pinecone all week at the library.  At our weekly story times join us for books, songs, flannel stories, and a craft about nature.

Pick up your Olympic Reading Challenge Card with challenges like; reading books about Olympic sports, or short stories. See if you can finish and reach gold!
