Event Details

DNA can offer important clues in solving genealogical mysteries, but only if you understand how to use the site you tested on.

In this series, local professional genealogist, Susan VH Fabian, will help you navigate each of the four main DNA testing sites: Ancestry DNA, FamilyTree DNA, MyHeritage DNA, and 23 and Me.  Each month a different testing platform will be explored and you will learn how to access your matches, and be introduced to the tools available to get the most our of your DNA results.  Attend the session for the site you tested at or come to all four and explore the possibilities the other sites have to offer.

Ancestry is the most popular DNA testing site in the US.  With 23 million testers, you're sure to find a cousin in your matches.  In this session you will learn how to access the match list, find shared matches, link your DNA to a family tree, understand ThruLines, and use Ancestry's SideView feature to understand your ethnicity and inheritance.  Please sign up online or call.
