The Washington County Free Library invites you to the Fletcher Film Series, where each month's films are based around a different theme. November's theme is "Wild Wild West", so grab your cowboy hats, saddle up your horses, and enjoy our selection of classic and contemporary Westerns!

Note: The film series is intended for older teens and adults. Children under the age of 17 should be accompanied by an adult.


This week's film is the classic 1959 Howard Hawks film, "Rio Bravo", starring the legendary John Wayne. Wayne plays John T. Chance, the sheriff of the small Texas town of Rio Bravo, who arrests the brother of a powerful rancher for murder. When the rancher sends a gang to bust his brother out of jail, Chance must fend them off with only the help of his drunk deputy, a crippled old man, and a young gunfighter.

Starring: John Wayne, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, and Walter Brennan

This film is not rated, but contains moments of violence and language
