Program Description

Event Details

25 years ago, a new film rocked the tiny town of Burkittsville at the foot of South Mountain and changed the horror film industry forever.

Just in time for Halloween, the Washington County Free Library in Hagerstown will welcome the co-director of The Blair Witch Project, Eduardo Sanchez, and the director of the Maryland Film Office, Jack Gerbes, to discuss this seminal film and its impact on Hollywood and Western Maryland.

Are you brave enough to join us? Bring your questions, enjoy Halloween treats, and find out what really happened in the Burkittsville woods in 1994!

The film will be shown prior to the Q&A panel. The film is rated R for language; please make decisions to watch accordingly. Registration is appreciated!
